Sit in Circle
Tell Your Own Story-
Don’t make it up, or borrow anyone else’s story. Your story does not have to be an adventure. It just has to be something that MOVES you. When it’s true, it’s easy to tell.
Questions–
- When did you experience or notice something that made you feel different to how you felt before?
2. Where were you?
3. When did you recall the moment, what did you see?
4. Describe the moment with all of your senses.
5. Why was it special?
6. Why does it move you?
7. What is its meaning in relation to your life, creativity, business or relationships?
Make it a True Story.
Authenticity is compelling. People want the real goods, even the nitty-gritty. Trust is valuable. When you tell a true story, it builds trust.
Questions
1. What transitions, changes, growth or accomplishments in your life are you proud of?
2. What event would you rather had never happened?
3. What would you hate people to know about you?
4. How have these traits, experiences, situations empower you or help you grow?
Be Present
True presence is a great gift. Being seen, noticed makes all the difference in building relationships and affirming the other is important to you. When you tell a story live it as you tell it. Stay present.
Questions
- When do you find it challenging to stay present?
- When is it easy to stay in the moment?
- How do you practice mindfulness or presence?
- Who do you admire for their presence? What do you like so much about them? How does their presence make you feel?
Acknowledge-
Acknowledge yourself. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt. Be proud of your story. It is also powerful to acknowledge someone else’s story, contribution and talents.
- How often do you acknowledge the people around you? Partner, family, friends?
- How do you feel when your efforts are not acknowledged?
- How can you create a practice of acknowledgement?
- What self-acknowledgement have you been lacking?
- List 10 achievements you want to appreciate others for
- List 5 achievements you want to appreciate yourself for.
Appreciate
When you appreciate what you have rather than live in dissatisfaction of what is missing it transforms your life. If you are constantly focused on what isn’t, that becomes your story. When you tell the story of what is and celebrate it, even when it isn’t perfect :) it is a gift to yourself and others.

- Do you have a gratitude practice?
- Try to last one whole day without making a single complaint.
